Many in the church have a very superficial view of the consequences of marital infidelity.

Nobody should go into adultery without being willing to perish into hell and take children and loved ones along by example.

The Bible calls adultery a snare, a trap. When you get into a trap it is difficult if not impossible to get out. Yet repentance and salvation are impossible without stopping the affair once and for all.
